The Kassa Effect
A coffee shop should be more than a cookie-cutter chain serving cheap, unhealthy ingredients with impersonal, tip-dependent service. At Kassa Coffee, we believe value matters. Our drinks shouldn’t be hidden behind a kitchen wall, and our creativity shouldn’t be limited by a rigid menu.
Our philosophy, which we call The Kassa Effect, was coined by our founders, Paolo De Leon and Gabriel Del Castillo. It serves as our guiding star: the idea of evolving while staying true to who we are. It represents authenticity, community, and experiencing life through coffee, friendships, and meaningful moments.
Paolo is based in Valencia, Spain, where he has spent the past seven years studying coffee across Europe. He first trained at the Espresso Academy in Florence, Italy, and later began experimenting with blending coffee and matcha, creating signature drinks.
Beyond coffee, Paolo is an entrepreneur, running two sporting goods brands, LYFT-RX and Grip Mamba. He also brings a unique background as a retired LVMPD police officer, having proudly served the city of Las Vegas for 10 years.
Gabriel, an active nurse in Nevada, is also an entrepreneur and the founder of Shiro Kara Watch Co., a Japanese-inspired brand specializing in handmade vintage watches.
His love for Japanese coffee and matcha began during his travels to Japan, and over the years, he has refined his skills in ceremonial matcha preparation while developing his own distinctive, Asian-inspired coffee creations.
